NO PO - NO PAY policy (No Purchase Order - No Payment)
Note that it is strict Whyalla OneSteel / Arrium policy that no payments will be made to any vendor unless a valid purchase order (with sufficient funds) has been issued before work commences.
|Arrium Mining and Whyalla Steelworks Site Conditions||Sets out the minimum site requirements that Vendors must comply with in providing services to any Arrium Mining or Whyalla Steelworks site (formally known as SA31.245).|
|Lifesaver Safety Rules||It is a condition of entry to Arrium Mining and OneSteel Whyalla Steelworks sites to comply with the Lifesaver Safety Rules. The Lifesaver Safety Rules are not negotiable, are compulsory and applicable to all persons entering Arrium Mining and OneSteel Whyalla Steelworks sites.|

The series forms part of the Whyalla ISO14001 EMS and must be rolled out to all employees & contractors working on the OneSteel /Arrium Mining sites. Posters must be displayed on appropriate noticeboards.|

Employees and Vendors are required to complete the appropriate induction courses / specific plant area requirements before coming onto any site.
All training can be accessed via the INX LMS and the Safety Training Centre. A brief guide to the online learning system is available here. Bookings for the Safety Training Centre can be arranged by phoning (08) 8648 8797.
Embedded contractors should contact their in-house Training/Safety Administrators for enquiries regarding system access.
Other contractors should complete a new user registration form and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org. A flow-chart of the registration process is available here. Please allow 24 hours for new accounts to be created. New user details will be communicated directly to the user. Other enquiries can be submitted to email@example.com.
It is the responsibility of the contractor company to ensure that all of their employees working on an Arrium Mining and/or OneSteel Whyalla Steelworks site comply with the training requirements of the QP29.28. In addition, contractors are responsible for maintaining accurate training records for all of their employees and are required to demonstrate compliance through the use of the Arrium/OneSteel records management system (Intuition).
